Central Texas Weather: Friday Starts Cool, Weekend and Next Week Warm

Friday’s weather is set to surprise Central Texas residents with a chilly start followed by a surprisingly warm weekend, according to the latest forecast from the KXAN First Warning Weather team.

Friday’s Forecast

Clear skies and a lighter wind should allow for temperatures to drop into the mid 30s to lower 40s, making for a much colder start to Friday morning.

While Friday will be cooler, it will still be very pleasant. Sunshine and a lighter wind will push highs into the upper 60s to around 70, which is still warmer than normal.

A returning south wind will mean even warmer temperatures this weekend with sunshine dominating after some early morning clouds.

A weak cold front late Saturday will knock temperatures down slightly for Sunday, but not by much.

Weekend Outlook

The weekend forecast continues the trend of warmth, with sunshine prevailing after early clouds. Temperatures remain comfortable, and the slight drop on Sunday is expected to be modest.

Next Week

Warmth continues next week with highs in the upper 70s each day. Morning low clouds will give way to sunshine each day as well.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day looks to continue the pattern of clouds to sunshine with highs near 80.
